Information on Cormac's Chapel, Rock of Cashel, Cashel, Co Tipperary, Ireland.

"This Romanesque church was started by Cormac MacCarthy, king-bishop of Cashel in 1127. It has many unusual features, including the paired towers. The church now has two doors, each with decorated tympanum. The south tower gives access to a stone roofed chamber above the vaulted ground floor. Remains of frescoes can be seen in the chancel. At the west end of the church is a richly carved sarcophagus."
