Today I learned in chapter 4 how to use ArcCatelog in order to add layers to a map.  I created my own layer of the area of disappearance (shown above) which can now be viewed in ArcMap along with the original layer map of Amelia Earhart's entire flight path around the world. I also learned how to connect folders and access the information within them to read and interpret for adding to maps or just finding out about the data within.

In Chapter 18, I exported a map in 3 different image file formats. The EMP file is 151 KB, the JPEG is 230 KB, and the bitmap is 2.46 MB.  Because I want my web pages to load quickly, I will use the smallest image file below.
